Purpose:

This document will explain the steps required to create, or, record a personalized voicemail greeting in Microsoft Teams


 Steps to create your voicemail greeting:

  1. Click on the 3 buttons at the top right of Teams and select “Settings”:

  2. Once in settings, select “Calls” from the menu on the left-hand side and click the “Configure Voicemail” button:

  3. Once inside the “Configure voicemail” section, you have two options for creating greetings.  The first is the traditional recorded message.  You create that by clicking the “Record a greeting” button and following the prompts:

  4. Or you can type out a greeting and have Microsoft’s AI voice read that message:

  5. If you configure an out of office greeting, you can select the option below the text-to-speech greeting section to automatically turn on an out of office greeting when you have an Outlook auto reply message active:

Once you have your greetings and settings configured, click OK to save.
